Letter from the Chapter

Dear Potential New Member,

My Tri Delta sisters and I are so excited that you are interested in going Greek! It is a rewarding experience in a multitude of ways. Being a part of Tri Delta has allowed our sisters to grow as leaders, friends, scholars, and philanthropists. Leaving home for the first time can be a frightening yet exciting time, and who better to have by your side than your sisters?

Three years ago I found myself where you are now - eager to move into my dorm and start my college experience. I was interested in joining a sorority, but hesitated due to previous expectations I had made based off of rumors about Greek life. After meeting some wonderful Panhellenic women, I figured I'd give Greek life a chance. I can confidently say that it has been the best decision I have ever made. Not only am I more confident in myself, but I have also learned how to balance my school, work and social life - all with the help of my sisters.

Our sisters push each other to become the best versions of ourselves. Whether you are studying for a test or needing a shoulder to cry on, there will always be a sister there for you. While helping one another grow, we also pride ourselves in our dedication to helping St. Jude. In 2014, Tri Delta as a whole proved its dedication by making the largest single commitment to St. Jude - $60 million in ten years. Our chapter at TAMUCC raised just under $16,000 in the last year alone and our sisters couldn't be more thrilled. Ask any sister why they love Tri Delta and they will speak endlessly, but you'll learn that soon during recruitment. We can't wait to meet each and every one of you!

Delta love,

Kelsie Dobbins
